It is now possible to pay for your ASCS subscription online by credit card (VISA or Mastercard).

Please select the appropriate option and click ‘Continue’. Paymate’s secure site will open in a new window. You can then enter personal details and complete payment. Please enter the postal address where you wish to receive Antichthon (preferably an institutional address, if applicable) and an email address that will remain active for at least 12 months. Please note that you do not need to type anything in the ‘Order ID’ box.

All amounts are in Australian dollars.

New members must also complete a membership form.

Renewing members whose details have changed should also complete and return the renewal form.

ASCS Membership dues 2017

All members earning over $100,000 are strongly urged to consider this membership category.
$120 p/a
$500 five-year rate

$80 p/a
$360 five-year rate

Concessional Members
$50 p/a (retired/unwaged/casual/student)
$225 five-year rate (retirees only)

New postgraduate members
$150 PhD candidates
Covers five years (i.e. until end 2021) or until date of graduation (whichever comes first)*
$100 Masters candidates
Covers three years (i.e. until end 2019) or until date of graduation (whichever comes first)*

All students are welcome to join at the concessional rate if they want only a one-year membership.

By joining ASCS or renewing my membership, I agree to be bound by the Rules of the Society for the time being in force.

* Postgraduate members rate is per degree. Members joining at this rate will receive Antichthon in electronic form only. Students are asked to email the membership secretary (, supplying their student number, the campus at which they are enrolled and the name of their primary supervisor. Membership lapses on graduation or after 5/3 years as applicable. Part-time postgraduate members are invited to join at the postgraduate rate for the first five years of their degree, after which the concessional rate is available to them.
